Joana Carneiro, Berkeley Symphony's newly named Music Director, made her debut with the orchestra leading Beethoven's unforgettable Fifth Symphony, plus works by Magnus Lindberg and Berkeley's own John Adams. Ms. Carneiro was previously Assistant Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
